The Educational Entrepreneur
Making a Difference
By Donald Leisey, EdD, and Charles Lavaroni, MS
Intimate profiles of twenty-two educators who left the public school system to follow their dreams of creating businesses for learning - each of which has had a dramatic impact on education.
The Educational Entrepreneur showcases visionary educators who chose to step out of the educational system to establish products and services that would enhance the learning process. The focus of their ventures ranges from home schooling, charter schools, private schools, and tutoring services to educational services and educational software companies. Their stories inspire people who yearn to overcome the challenges inherent in taking this leap and who prioritize learning over schooling.
